Briones: The financing part, this is where we’d really be seeking your support, in matters where we need equipment.

Briones said they are negotiating with telcos to organize DepEd’s “blended learning” for online classes, saying that these players will roll-out free usage of their facilities.

Briones: The regional directors are also negotiating with the local radio stations so that we can reduce the costs.

Briones: Ang appeal namin, is to allow us to continue our preparations based on the road map because ang target namin ay August 24.

Briones: The future cannot wait, and we do not want our children to be left behind.

Duterte: As announced, school will open on August 24. But there will be no face-to-face sessions until there is no vaccine.

Duterte on COVID-19 cases in the country: I cannot say it is second wave because it is increasing sa mga affected tapos namatay ay sa 1,000.
